Hello friends
I would like to ask that how long time does it take to get an accurate reading result to measure the glucos (sugar) level in blood after you having a meal, some they said 1 hour after beak-fast will give an accurate result, how this is true or accurate? does any drinks or some fruits, water etc during this hour will effect the reading result? or to get best result after meal must keep stop eating or drink anything to get the accurate results?
and what about other meals? like the afternoon meal “lunch”? and dinner? it takes the same period of time? and much re-frain from any snacks, fruits, hot.soft drink, water etc…?

this is about the measure each type of meal and make own schedule what are the foods that could increase a high level of sugar etc.. then follow on the lowest or nearest to the optimal level,
any advices will be appreciated, many thnaks
is it

If you want to take accurate results, it is advised to test your blood 2 hours after eating. It’s true that everything you eat will affect your blood sugar. That’s why it’s good to wait 2 hours till measure your blood sugar.
Meanwhile, you may drink water, Water does not affect blood sugar (it does not contain any calorie or sugar or fat; i contains only minerals).
This rule is the same for all your meals. This is if you want to test your blood at home.

But, if you want to check properly how well are you managing your diabetes, it’s more appropriate to measure your fasting blood glucose levels and A1C, which are done at hospital. More details visit http://www.all-about-beating-diabetes.com/diabetes-glucose-test.html

The foods which mostly raise quickly your blood sugar are called sugary (high carb) foods. A list of them you may get at http://www.all-about-beating-diabetes.com/diabetic-food-grocery-list.html
