My dad has these high blood pressure pills and we tell him not 2 drunk but hes been drinking for over 30 years and he says if it hasnt hurt him know it wont ever even with the pills. It says in the pills instructions not to be taken with alcahol. So whats the scoop? What happens when you do? And its not just one or two beers that he drinks either its like 6+ a night.

Whilst under the influence of alcohol, bp will be reduced. Recovering from alcohol ingestion, i.e. the next day, will cause bp to raise.

Continued daily drinking will cause a marginal increase in bp, but it’s typically not sever due to alcohol alone. Nevertheless he should monitor it regularly.
