Rapid pounding heartbeat in a 20 year old girl?
for the past year and a half, i’ve constantantly been feeling my heartbeat.if i sit down and i have nothing to occupy my thoughts it feels as if my heart is pounding so so hard and like it’s racing. but whenever i go to the doctor they tell me my blood pressure is low (which is supposed to be normal for people my age – 20). I don’t understandd it. cos i know my heart is doing this.
i suffer from anxiety and i might have bipolar, but i’m anxious when i’m in the doctors office and my heart is apparently normal there but i just feel that something is wrong. i don’t think it’s normal for it to pound so hard or so fast.

Sounds like anxiety, but you can get a second opinion! Find a Cardiologist in your area to get an second opinion from and be honest and upfront when you are telling the doctor what’s going on with you. If you don’t want to wait for an appointment (which could take up to a month or more), you could always go to your local or nearest Heart Hospital and walk-in and let them know why you need to see a doctor. I’m sure they won’t turn you down. Don’t let these doctors just tell you anything because I have been fainting and having black out spells since the age of 19 and I’m 25 now. No one could tell me why until a couple months ago. Apparently, I have a heart condition, but I am going to get a second opinion next month. I agree with my doc, but not with the diagnosis. I’m sure you have rights, and you can get a second or third opinion if you must!
