Your aveoli, bronchial pathways, esophageal pathway and so on are inflammed. This is the times when problems occur. This is when you get the chronic cough, the persistent mucus, the bacteria that eventually cause cancer. Sometimes it takes 60 years to develop cancer from smoking,.. in others a year or two.
I smoked myself for 15 years.. (I quit over a year ago now.. ) I started when I was 14/15 and quit at 29. It just isn’t worth it,..
Get out a piece of paper.. seriously. Now draw a line down the middle. On one side write ‘pros’.. on the other write ‘cons’ — (basically good, and bad). Now list the pro’s,.. when done,.. list the ‘cons’.
Really think about it.
I’m sure you are intelligent,.. the answer should be quite obvious without anyone needing to tell you anything. If smoking made you feel really good,.. gave you energy for a few hours.. or did ANYTHING to benefit someone,.. an argument could be made. However, after the initial ‘buzz’ (which isn’t that pleasant) when you first start.. it is just a nasty habit that has zero benefit, and a likely side effect of death, among other things. Cost, makes you stink, addiction (oh thats fun), and on and on.
Take care,
