Is there anything I can do for my throat short of shooting up epinephrine?
There’s something wrong with me, is it serious?
A week ago I had flu-like symptoms. Coughing, sneezing, sore throat, nausea, chills and fever. No vomiting though…Here’s the thing that I found odd, when I swallowed it felt like I was trying to swallow a bowling ball, like my throat was inflamed and swelling.
i’ve since gotten over all of these symptoms and I feel fine except for the coughing. For some reason the “Bowling Ball Throat” has been coming back and going away every 8 or 9 hours. Now the roof of the back of my mouth feels all inflamed.
Keep in mind I’m a broke bastard with very very limited access to medical help when I ask: Is this a “go see a doctor” situation? Is there anything I can do for my throat short of shooting up epinephrine?

The body basically need anti-inflammatory medications and antihistamines to get well, a decongestant to clear the chest and fluids and lots of rest to fight the illness.
So, buy 2 bottles of DayQuil and two of NyQuil or store brand stuff and use the stuff until you feel well. Do not worry it should go away before 2 weeks passes which honestly is slightly longer than you should take the medicine but it won’t kill you as bad as the pneumonia.
