Why girls lie or deny masturbating?

Congratulations that you and your friends are open about masturbating. That’s a big change from a couple of decades ago when guys were supposed to be embarrassed and nobody would ever admit to it even though studies showed that 98 percent of guys and 65 percent of girls did it.

FOr girls, some openly admit it, but we just don’t talk about it a lot. You know, TMI (too much information) and all of that. We don’t talk about our potty habits, either, but you can be sure we all use the bathroom, you know? And we’re ESPECIALLY not going to talk about masturbating to guys just because of modesty and because we don’t understand why you guys get all worked up and hot about girls masturbating. We don’t get hot when we think of guys masturbating . . . so we don’t talk about it. If we thought we could talk about it and you’d keep a straight face and not drool all over the place and look at each other with smirks and stuff, we might, but I think we all know that’s not gonna happen (at least with MOST guys)!

For a lot of girls, though, they won’t openly admit it to anyone because their parents made them feel ashamed if they touched themselves when they were little. But you know there are a lot of GUYS like that, too, so you guys are just enlightened.

And there’s also a social stigma (still) against girls admitting that they do anything sexual. Back in the old days any girl who admitted to anything sexual was considered loose or whatever, and a lot of that stigma remains for some girls. Much more for girls than for guys.

SO there you have it.

The best way to get a girl to talk about masturbating is if she’s your girlfriend. Then, if she admits it at all, she might admit it to you. But don’t expect her to talk about it a lot. Most women want to be satisfied by a man (or another woman if they are gay/bi) more than they want to do it themselves. Talking about masturbating takes all the romance out of the situation. But she might talk about it with you if she trusts you enough emotionally.

To answer your question, research indicates that between 65% and about 90% of women masturbate fairly regularly. You can find these survey results with a little judicious googling. Before I got married sometimes I would masturbate once a week. Now I only masturbate about once a month if that. I don’t know how this applies to other women ’cause I don’t talk with my friends in that much detail. I do know that all of my girlfriends that I’ve ever heard talk about it admit that they masturbate. I also know that my sister masturbates pretty regularly even though she’s been dating the same guy for several months now.
