I understand partly regarding the enteric nervous system but is there direct evidence regarding gut feelings?I suppose possibly? fmri would be able to show areas activated while someone feels this but is there any evidence more then/beyond this?
Would you base your decision on whether to listen to or ignore gut feelings based on whether there was a lack of scientific evidence for this or would this not influence your decision.

A few hours ago when I was in school I noticed my mouth was dry and I felt weak. Drank some water and a few minutes later my mouth was dry again and I felt tired. More...

So when I got home a drank a lot of juice and after I got out of the shower my mouth was dry and i still felt tired and weak. What’s wrong?

You probably also need salt, and possibly enzymes. Add a pinch of sea salt to your water and see if this helps (NOT table salt as it has additives that are bad for you).

What are your opinions regarding a Tarsorrhaphy procedure?

In a nutshell, I had a stroke and as a result, my left eye does not blink so I have an infection. My doctor wants to do a tarsorrhaphy (do a search, and it comes right up), which is sewing the eyelid.

I interpreted the doctor as saying it will only be for two weeks. My question is, what is going to happen in two weeks? My stroke will not have disappeared. Read more of this post
