Could this be high blood pressure?
My husband, who is 34, has high blood pressure and is currently not on any medications for it. The past couple of days, he has been getting extremely hot out of nowhere. You can literally feel the heat through his skin. He has been coughing and having nose bleeds and sneezing, but I don’t think he is running a fever. Could his high blood pressure be causing these, “hot flashes,” for lack of a better word, or is it something else?

Whatever your husband is having now, sounds like some kind of bug, but the nosebleeds concern me. You should have a thermometer in the house. If he’s feeling achey or chilled to the bone, and if his forehead is warm, it could be a high fever. (Over 102.5 is HIGH.) Get him to a doctor if he has a high fever. If you have insurance, you can go to the Urgent Care or Quick Care, whatever they call it.
Otherwise any ER cannot turn you away. It’s the law. (Too bad it’s the weekend.)
Btw, he can always get his BP checked at any fire station. They’re all paramedics, and more than happy to help you out any time.
Best of luck!
