i have had this problem for years!! its a pin hole near my tear duct that keeps watering does any one know what this is and how its treated?

Hi! I have constant dry eyes and about a year ago my eyes starting tearing continuosly. I went to a tear duct specialist and he told me my eyes were tearing so much because they were extremely DRY. He put “plugs” in my tear ducts to keep the moisture in. It sounds crazy, but they really worked !
