What is the real cause of restless leg syndrome and how can I make it STOP?

Here I sit in the middle of the night, with a baby to take care of. Im lucky to get a few hours of sleep on a normal night, so I really don’t have time to spare being kept awake by this crap.
Every time I lay down my whole body gets this restless feeling, no matter how tired I am. Its so bad it makes me scream and so frustrating it brings me to tears. Its not insomnia because when Im not suffering from it I can fall asleep just fine. And even with sleeping pills, it doesn’t help.
The internet hasn’t been much help either. So I’m just wondering if anyone has any ideas, thank you so much. so very tired.

My advice is to firstly avoid processed sugar in all it’s forms ie ~ sodas and pop, alcohol,candy, biscuits, chocolate, icecream, pastries etc…. as processed sugar will only serve to trash your magnesium and b complex supplies.

As far as the B6 (pyridoxine) and magnesium goes simply eat more foods rich in both.

B6 – organic brown rice (organic to avoid the nasty sulfites they put in the commercial varieties), organic rolled oats, lentils, chick peas, organic raw nuts and seeds like almonds, brazil nuts and sunflower seeds (organic for the same reason)

magnesium ~ raw nuts and seeds, leafy and green salads and vegies, fresh salmon, sardines and tuna, wholegrains and cereals like brown rice and wholegrain breads.

magnesium is known as the antistress mineral so if not for any other reason, chow down on those foods (particularly the greens) for that alone.

sleeping pills of an over the counter variety will, as an added effect rip the calcium magnesium out of your bones and calcium and magnesium are so essential for healthy heart, neural, bone and tooth health ……. and they’ll trash your water soluble b complex supplies.

fresh food will always be the best option for long term benefits.

    Summary of Restless Leg Syndrome Cause

    1.Restless Leg Syndrome urge to move the legs is caused by a Magnesium Deficiency. Take a chelated Magnesium 400-1000 mg/day, less if you develop loose stools.

    2.Restless Leg Syndrome creeping, crawling, burning sensation seems to be due to a neuropathy or nerve disease due to Vitamin B deficiency. Take Vitamin B-100′s in the morning not at night to avoid vivid dreams.

    3.Estrogen Dominance or too much estrogen due to chemical estrogens causes both Vitamin B deficiency, Magnesium deficiency, and too much copper.

    4.Get rid of the chemical estrogens in your environment that mimic or pretend to be estrogen. These chemicals are causing Vitamin B deficiency, Magnesium deficiency and too much copper.

    5.Take Natural Progesterone to counter the effects of these chemical estrogens. Take Natural Progesterone just before bedtime for a nice smooth sleep.

    6.After about 6 months, if you are really careful about avoiding xenoestrogens and chemical estrogens you may NOT need the Vitamin B, Magnesium, or Natural Progesterone. All your vitamins and minerals will balance out automatically. However, if you cannot avoid these xenoestrogens, then some patients continue to take Natural Progesterone to balance out the xenoestrogens.
