I am getting root canal , and Im only 12 . will it hurt? What happens during the process?
I am only 12 yrs old , and I get terrified fast.

I have had several root canals,first off the dentist will rub some topical numbing cream on the gum and then they will most likely give you a shot of Novocaine to numb the tooth.You can ask them to give you some gas,this is just a mask that they put over your nose and you breathe it in and it relaxes you,I’ve always had mine done this way,then they will open up the tooth and burn take out the nerve so the tooth won’t bother you.It will be just fine you’ll see.It may be a little tender to eat after wards but have some soup and chew on the opposite side.Tomb Raider.

thanks for the advice! one question though, does it hurt when they give the shot of the Novocaine to you? Or do you not feel the shot at all?
