Just got elastics on my last molars ?
ive had braces for a year and today they puyt elastics diagonally on my right site top molar teeth and same side bottom tooth and they put the bracket INSIDE the bottom tooth wich makes it so everytime i move my tongue i get cuts ! its awful i want to die will the pain go away?? i have to remvoe it to eat and put it back and tis so hard to put back but jhe said in a month hell remove the bracket and elastic i damn well hope so!

i’ve had braces for about 2 years and now i have them off. i remember having that rubber band thing on and it hurt like hell. that’s supposed to happen, for a few days ( up to 3 days max) you will have that pain, just like the first time you got braces.
if the bracket is CUTTING you in any way, call your orthodontist!! you may want to get this fixed so it doesn’t bother you any more. since the bracket is necessary to hold the rubber band, im afraid all you have to do is wait. but for the cutting, put some wax there. eventually it should stop the pain.
