I can’t find what I’m allergic/sensitive to?

There’s something in the current house I live in that I’ve been sensitive/allergic to for over 5 years and they still , or I can’t figure out what possibly it can be. I’ve had allergy skin tests, and blood tests, and had all sorts of meds, and they claim they’re negative and I shouldn’t be having allegic reactions to anything but still if I”m away from the house for the day, then come back, SOMETIMES…the reaction strangely varies day by day, week by week….I get this…more violent/sudden reaction of “sore eyes, stuffy nose…chest congestion/pressure, tingly scalp..itchy skin,”

yet all the tests are negative and they cleared me.

Now they’re saying it’s probably psychological LOL!

I ruled that out too. Seeen a psych and am on the drugs!.

Is it possible that i may not be allergic…but just highly sensitive to things in the house, and am reacting?

If so what can I do…short of moving out? lol.

it could be dust, mold, we do have two dogs here…..I just don’t get what it is.

The air filters don’t do TOO much either, but I”m sure they help/

what would seriously be the next step, if you basically tried it all? They’re not going to give me allergy shots if they can’t FIND the allergy itself, and I just don’t know what it is.

Maybe I have a hyper immune system that overreacts to everything. Maybe I’m oversensitive.

I just at this point in time, don’t know where to go from here

This is just very aggrivating.

it’s something in the air, because I notice when i talk on the phone sometimes for a long time i get short of breath and it gets worse.

Hi here are some thoughts for you. It could be mold, dander from your dogs or the hair they shed, or the shampoo you wash them with or their flea collar,do you have a plant in your house that has been there for five years, certain paints used on the walls, certain cleaners you use and have used for the last five years, the laundry soap you use, or the shampoo and conditioner or hair spray, perfume you have used for five years, contacts you use in your eyes or the solution you use to clean them, the lipstick you wear or eye makeup or concealer, mouth wash or tooth paste, skin creams or lotions, deodorants, bath shower gels, body powders, the vitamin you take every day or any other med you take every day or just on the days you have the reaction, there is also the fact that this is something you are eating, have you been tested for foods also? You could be allergic to wheat or gluten, try going wheat and gluten free for 3 weeks and see how you feel. Or something you have drank when these episodes happen. Or the cigarette you smoke if you do. Even though people are under the assumption that they have had allergy testing so they should not be allergic to anything if the allergy testing says so. Very untrue, allergy testing does not cover everything for example did they test for the perfume you wear? No they didn’t. So do not feel like you are losing your mind you are not, you definitely are having allergic reactions and there is no way even the most craziest person can make allergies happen. I hate to see that they have put you on meds because they thought it was all in your head. WRONG. What you need to do is research everything that you have had in your life in the last five years that you continue to have or do now. Do you drink coffee, tea, milk etc. every day. On the days you have those reactions make a list of everything you ate or took a bath in, or put on your hair or on your body. Think back to the last time you had a reaction and compare notes. For instance you loved and brushed the dog or gave him a bath. See if there is any similarities between the two. You can get this narrowed down by doing that. When you have these reactions you can take Benadryl 25 mg but you need to check with your doctor first and see if there will be any reactions with the meds your on. There are so many more things i could list but just do the list when you have this reaction and compare and see what you come up with. Good Luck and i hope this has helped..
