Build up of meat/skin on nipple?
It’s been many years since it appeared (at least 3 years now), it doesn’t hurt or itch, but it’s just there on my nipple. It’s about a centimeter long in the same colour as my nipple (on my left nipple only), it looks like a build up of meat or skin lumps… I’ve checked with one of my doctors a few years back when I first got it, she said it wasn’t anything that I need to worry about… but at the time, it was still very small (it was just a tiny single lump of skin that’s visible on the nipple)… it’s gotten bigger over the years (now about 1 cm long, made up of many tiny lumps of skin on top of each other) and now I can feel that it’s no longer just a painless piece of meat or skin, but rather a piece of extra large nipple that is long and made up of tiny round ‘smaller’ nipples on top of each other…
I was wondering if this is really something I don’t have to worry about since it’s been many years and is not painful nor does it itch (unless I pull it hard enough, then it hurts)? Also if I want to remove it surgically, would this affect breastfeeding (I’m 101% sure I’m not pregnant but I do want children a few years down the track)?
