Can someone please help me with a problem my mother is having?
My mom went to get a mammogram for breast cancer and the doctors said she needed to take it again. The second time she took it, the doctors said they were not suspicious of anything but she needs to take it again. They are not telling her if there is anything but their not telling her there ISN’T anything. Should she be worried? Is this anything bad? And if its not breast cancer what is it?
If there was anything, would the mammogram pick it up quickly? or would it take a couple of tries for them to actually get a clear picture? Many of you say if its either bad or not but your not answering my other question… if its not cancer what is it?

3 times is unusual, twice is not if they did not like the quality of the pictures that were taken. All your mother has to do is ask why so many mammograms – either of the tech or of her physician. Someone may be able to give you a practical/commonsense reason why she needs 3 done. If there is anything suspicious, they may recommend a CT scan or MRI.
