Benadryl Overdose – Side effects?

My friend has had 3 small mouthfuls of Benadryl, the bottle says take 4 teaspoons max. What are possible side effects? She’s getting sleepy and has become worried. She’s 15 years old. It’s currently 1:12 AM. We want to make sure she wont DIE, specifically.

Here’s good news: Your 15 yo pal is in NO Danger. Not from 3 small mouthfuls… about 100 mg of Benadryl, by my calculation.
That’s only twice the full 15 year Rx dose. Not lethal, and not even dangerous.

No matter what you do now…in 6 hours she’ll have gotten over the drowsy feeling and dry mouth.
