Type 2 Diabetic…i am 19
I’m 19 years old and I found out I had Type 2 Diabetes. I was prescribed 500mg of Metformin, twice a day. For about the first 6 months I lost weight drastically, and now I have been putting in back on & I am now heavier than when I was diagnosed. I was Recently diagnosed by the hospital of having type 1 diabetes… is what they said. I went into the hospital because my sister is diabetic so my dad check my sugar level and read High Glucose, meaning over 600. The hospital took blood for lab testing and i got the A1C test back which was 10% (average 250) after being on insulin for a month went back in and my A1C was down to 8%. Read more of this post

Grapefruit and medication question?
I take several medications, citalopram, lisinopril, and I just started taking simvastatin.
I just ate a grapefruit and noticed realized that there are some medications that can interact with grapefruits.

What are the symptoms in a two year old for diabetes?
My two year old grandson has just started to drink alot and pee alot. We don’t give him sweets very often but if he sees it he has to have it. My husband was put on unpaid medical leave till his test results are 7-8. This morning they were 9. Per company policy and the nature of his job, he cannot work until he gets this down.
