My best friend was in an out of the ER and is now back in. She has a very severe case of pneumonia. She was released a few days ago but went in again last night after she started coughing up blood and had lots of chest pain. Doctors! I have an uncontrollable cough with cough attacks?
I’ve had a constant strong tickle in my throat for four days now which causes me to uncontrollably cough. Also, pretty much everyday I’ll have a cough attack. Sick from School with Pneumonia – Unreasonable Parent?

It mostly happens at night time when I’m trying to fall asleep. There’s nothing wrong with me as far as me and my doctor is concerned but the only way I fall asleep is by listening to my breathing. It happened about a week ago where I was doing my normal routine: listening to my breathing until I fall asleep. But suddenly it felt like my breathing was being cut off and it felt like I was clearly suffocating right then and there. I started sweating and gasping for breath. I’ve been having this steady pain in the lower right side of my chest for the past 3 days & its not going away. It hurts worse when I breathe in and when I lay on it, but it doesn’t hurt when I cough. I am 37 weeks pregnant and vomit all the time and it usually is nothing to worry about but this morning when I vomitted there was quite a bit of blood with it, at least half a cup. It was bright red and looked fresh so I’m not sure if it was just due to irritation in my throat or if it is something more serious. Has anyone ever had this happen before? My questions is: The cold viruses used in gene therapy for cystic fibrosis are genetically engineered so they cannot reproduce, and thus cannot cause a viral infection in the patient.
